When is my card charged for a pre-order?

All orders are charged to your card as soon as you confirm your purchase, including books on backorder and preorder. Your preorder will remain active until the publication date, at which point the order will process and ship from our warehouse just like a normal order. 

If a preorder does not ship when the book reaches its publication date, it likely means that our national distributor has not yet received the stock from the publisher. If the book fails to stock within six months of the publication date, the order will cancel from your order, and your card will be automatically refunded.
